Feodosia is the vacation destination for much of Ukraine and Russia so we plan on things being a little bit more crowded and expensive and housing a little harder to find. Fortunately we have Vera there in Feodosia (she is from the city) and she should be able to find a comfortable situation for us. I was happy to hear that she is looking for a place with air conditioning, which is wonderful because the last time I checked, the highs were in the 90's. The humidity is also quite high because we are right off the coast of the Black Sea. I am looking forward to the longer, warmer days as compared to our cold November trip to northern Ukraine almost three years ago to pick up Roman and Nadia.
Unfortunately, Calvin's father ended up in the hospital on Memorial Day and we are his only family. We pray that the timing of his release will allow us to be there for him. Sadly, his home has flooded and we will be busy cleaning up that mess before we go. He's unable to move back in with unhealthy molds, etc. There's always something, but we've just learned to roll with these less than ideal occurrences because they seem to be inevitable when you are getting ready to adopt. Everyone who has done this knows what I'm talking about.
We're very excited and so happy to finally be able to plan with some solid dates. It won't be long now Anastasia. Here we come!

I am glad you finally have a date and can move forward. The not knowing is the worst. Good Luck with everything. It will be fun following your trip. And all I can say is you are a much better person then I could ever be doing it again.
